Autonomous Mobile Robots Introduction
Designed a website and iPad app to showcase autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) at Hon Hai Technology Day and for marketing use. Collaborated across departments, creating 3D animations, UI/UX designs, and prototypes to align stakeholders on the product’s capabilities. Partnered with product managers and engineers to meet functional and development needs. The solution engaged audiences, streamlined product explanations, and set a foundation for future marketing. Also assisted in organizing the AMR exhibition stand to enhance its visual impact.
Responsibility
Enhance AMR Introduction through Design
Focused on creating impressive digital products to visually represent AMR's capabilities and elevate its exhibition introduction. Leveraged extensive 3D rendering, UI design study, and rapid prototyping to propose iterative designs that effectively communicated the product’s technical and functional features. This demonstrated my department’s design capabilities, securing future stakeholder projects. The final digital solution included an introduction website, an app, and an interactive small game, engaging audiences and enhancing their understanding of the AMR.
Research and Design
Analyzed similar products to understand industry standards and user expectations, creating visual mappings to ensure consistent representation across digital platforms.
Regularly proposed new designs to enhance stakeholder alignment and maintain a cohesive user experience.
Actively learned and improved design tools and techniques to achieve the ideal design solutions.
Design Iteration and Agile Adaptation
Iteratively refined designs based on feedback from high-level managers to ensure stakeholder alignment and deliver a cohesive user experience. Additionally, observed and emulated the judgment and agile workflows of senior management to enhance design delivery efficiency and improve time management.
Product Contents and Design Strategies
Designed interactive animations to showcase AMR capabilities, including 360-degree rotation for appearance exploration, exploded views to highlight the robot’s complexity, and interactive modules to explain key hardware features that differentiate the robot. Developed a customizable color palette feature to help users visualize how the robot could integrate into their company environments. Additionally, created gamified elements to engage exhibition attendees and support presenters in effectively communicating AMR functionalities.
On-Site Observations and Feedback Integration
Conducted on-site observations to evaluate product introductions by presenters and gathered attendee feedback on usability and audience responses. Leveraged these insights to refine design elements, enhancing clarity and engagement for the optimized marketing version. This iterative process provided valuable learnings for future projects, ensuring designs better supported stakeholders and captivated audiences.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
Collaborated closely with engineers to integrate product development and with product managers to prioritize features effectively. Tackled challenges such as hardware-software compatibility and last-minute exhibition adjustments by implementing proactive and efficient solutions, ensuring seamless project execution.
Exhibition Insights and Knowledge Sharing
Compiled a report summarizing insights from the exhibition, focusing on design, functionality, and audience engagement. The report included actionable recommendations for future product and visual design enhancements, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with user expectations. Additionally, shared the report with coworkers, outlining the project’s completion process and key considerations for similar future product designs.
Results and Recognition
The AMR exhibition products received praise for their engaging design and usability. Presenters found it easier to explain functionalities, while stakeholders appreciated the polished visuals and interactivity. Featured in the annual R&D report, the project became a reference for future initiatives and helped my department secure similar projects.
